Visiting with Leonhart

Late last year, I found out that “the kids these days” have rediscovered an interest in old Pokemon products from Wizards of the Coast. This came as a surprise, since about 15 years ago - though Pokemon was going strong as always - I was told authoritatively that only Pokemon Company offerings were of any value, and that the Wizards stuff might as well not exist - I was even told that whole display boxes were only worth $25, while old boxes of Magic: The Gathering I had were worth thousands.

At the time, I shrugged, and put almost everything Pokemon back in the attic, just in case. I am an optimist. One box got broken open, though, to tempt my daughter to do some house chores. Fortunately for me, she had zero interest in cleaning her room, and only ever got one booster pack from me!
